Chesnok Red is a purple stripe type of garlic with Med/Large Cloves/Bulb and is very hardy, great performer in most of the US. Flavor  is  always a taste test winner with a rich sweet flavor when roasted and sautéed. Great raw too with a medium not to overpowering garlic flavor which is great in olive oil and salad dressing. They say it comes from the republic of Georgia.
